Brain and Ej are his caretakers!! Eyeless being more of a dad for Garry. And yeah in a way they were a romantic couple
I actually had this whole plot planned out where Brian was going to meet back up with Tim which sparks drama.
Basically when Brian and Tim meet up, Brain begins leaving the family more often to be with Tim. Which puts Brian in a tough spot because he doesn’t exactly feel ready to return to society but he wants to be with Tim.
What he doesn’t consider is Eyeless feeling and stand point. Cause not only is Eyeless feeling betrayed knowing Brian is leaving to see/be with someone else. He’s also scared for the safety of Garry because it could expose their location ( this is before eyeless gains more trust in others )
Either way this was going to build up to eyeless following Brian and finding Tim. A battle ensues as Eyeless aims to rid Tim and take back Brian when before he succeeds
He gets shots
And who shot him was none either than Brian himself.
The bullet doesn’t hurt eyeless but the fact that his suppose lover shot him to defend someone else did.
This stops the fight with eyeless holding his wound saying to Brian “ …. You’ve made your choice…. You’re no longer welcome our forest…” a clear threat that he’d kill him if he gets near you he shack again and finally leaving
Then there was more to follow up but that was the general jist that I wanted to draw out as a comic
